At present we are working on a project about the Windrush Generation with Southwark community. This project is close to the hearts of our community as most of the black members of Southwalk have family descended from this generation. We believe it will be valuable to enable our community to learn about who the Windrush Generation are and what brought them here. Moreover, the Windrush Generation had a huge influence on the art, music and culture in Britain, revolutionising its cultural scene. We want to celebrate this influence and the role of our family and ancestors in shaping out society today.
